I am a HUGE fan moneysavingmom's blog, I follow it very regularly. Since its the beginning of the new year, and i'm refusing to make any new years resolutions this year. (another story for another day) First, i've chosen to follow and stick to http://moneysavingmom.com/2014/01/12-months-healthier-challenge.html which is basically where each month there will be a new goal to follow to becoming healthier. The first focus for January is exercising regularly, duh, of course that's part of it. So the plan is to set a goal each week and to check in on Fridays to report progress. So since I've been wanting to do the 30 day plank challenge and the 30 day squat challenge I will start there.
Next on the list is money, I really want to start using the envelop system for budgeting money, i have been really big on budgeting our money specifically for the past 4 or 5 months. I've gotten it down to a science for the most part but there are always those stray things that get away from me. Plus, Christmas just passed so that's another mess. We decided that January is going to be a no spending month, we are challenging ourselves to spend nothing extra this month! I'd also like to start the Dave Ramsey guide to budgeting, following his steps to financial success.
These are my first two challenges for the year, not to mention the kids, and starting school in the new few days. :)
